I used to know a caterpillar
Who would always try
To eat a lot so she would grow
Into a butterfly.
She didn't like to crawl around
Inching slowly so,
She yearned to be a butterfly
And hoped one day to grow.
Everyone loves butterfiles,
Their beauty is reknowned,
But who cares for a caterpillar
Crawling on the ground?
And so one day she balled herself
Into a big cacoon;
She sat inside 'til satisfied
That she could finally bloom;
But thinking back, I'm not so sure
That it was worth the sweat,
'Cause once she grew, she flew into
A big butterfly net.
